GLY and FAS modules were expressed either under the control of a weak RBS (RBS32, relative strength 1), moderate RBS (RBS29, relative strength 2) or strong RBS (wild type, relative strength 3). All experiments were performed in triplicate and error bars show s.d. with 95% CI.
