The effect of auditory deprivation was evaluated with the conjunction of contrasts [DS>HN] and [DO>HN]; that of sign language with the conjunction of T-contrasts [DS>DO] and [DS>HN]. All within a second-level analysis of variance for group (N=7) comparison. Results were overlaid on three-dimensional representations of the brain (left), and displayed at a threshold of P<0.01 (uncorrected) and a spatial threshold of 20 voxels.
