High-resolution SIM images (100 nm resolution in x, y and z) of mouse CTLs transfected with granzyme B-TFP (green channel, middle) and immunolabeled with antibodies against individual v-SNAREs (red channel, left). Overlay of both channels revealed that only VAMP2 (synaptobrevin2) colocalizes with the lytic granule marker granzyme B, whereas VAMP3 (cellubrevin), VAMP4 and VAMP7 were virtually absent from lytic granules. The corresponding Pearson’s coefficients for colocalization are given in the text. Scale bar, 2 μm.
