(c) Simultaneous excitation of plasmon resonance and waveguide mode for TM-polarized incident light contributes to enhanced Faraday rotation φ. Inside the BIG film, the blue lines near the gold wires indicate the field enhancement due to the plasmon resonance, and the yellow line implies light bouncing inside the slab due to the excitation of the waveguide mode.
