(a) The as-synthesized TiO2 NWs grown by the hydrothermal method are dip-coated with W-precursor solution and then dried by air (or N2) blowing. (b) The W-precursor-coated NWs are annealed in a high-temperature flame (1,100 °C for 2 min) to enable rapid W diffusion. (c) The W-doped TiO2 NWs are annealed in a tube furnace at 550 °C for 30 min under CO gas flow for C doping.
