(a) The time course of changes in Max protein levels in Max-KD VR15. Western blot analyses using antibodies against Max. Max protein was declined to 12% of that at day (d) 0 by d 1, and was subsequently recovered in the KD cells. (b) Changes in Max mRNA levels in Max-KD VR15 was quantified by real-time PCR and plotted in the graph; the expression level in control VR15 was set as 100%. The time course of changes in RFP intensity of Max-KD VR15 during culture shown in Supplementary Fig. S2 was superimposed on the graph. Principally the same result was obtained in two independent experiments (a,b).
