Immunofluorescent confocal images of Amot. Amot is first detected at the compacted eight-cell stage, where it is localized to the membrane (N=16). At the 8- to 16-cell transition, Amot is localized apically in the outside cells and throughout the membrane of the inside cells (N=12). By the blastocyst stage, Amot is much more abundant in the ICM compared with the TE (N=18). Weak Amot staining can be seen on the apical domain of TE cells. Yellow areas and dotted lines mark inside cells. Scale bar, 10 μm.
