(a) d2EYFP fluorescence levels in PFL cells (blue line) and PNFL 7–2 and 7–3 cells (red and green line, respectively) were measured at 0, 6 (360 min), 12 (720 min), 24 (1,440 min), 48 (2,880 min) and 72 h (4320, min) following treatment with doxycycline (1 μg ml−1) at time 0 h. (b) d2EYFP fluorescence levels in PFL cells (blue line) and PNFL cells (red line) cells were measured at 0, 24 (1,440 min), 48 (2,880 min) and 96 h (5,760 min) following the removal of doxycycline at time 0 h. Before time 0 h, both PFL and PNFL cells were grown in the presence of doxycycline for 72 h.
