Figure 2: Structure of the GrlR–GrlAΔ heterotrimeric complex.
From: Structure of GrlR–GrlA complex that prevents GrlA activation of virulence genes

(a) GrlR and GrlA proteins with motifs. (b) Crystal structure of the GrlR–GrlAΔ complex. The two monomers of GrlR are shown in green (monomer A) and cyan (monomer B). GrlAΔ is shown in magenta. The ligand Triton X-100 is shown as sticks. (c) Structure of GrlAΔ. (d) The topology diagram of the GrlAΔ molecule. Structure-related figures are prepared using PyMol35. (e) The stoichiometric ratio of WT GrlR–GrlA complex protein was investigated in an analytical ultracentrifuge by monitoring their sedimentation properties in a sedimentation velocity experiment. The peak corresponds to a molecular weight of 47.3 kDa, indicating the presence of two molecules of 6His-GrlR and one molecule of GrlA in the complex.
