(a) Serial 1/10 dilutions of the following yeast strains containing the same number of cells were plated on SD-Leu medium: left lane, the wild-type (WT) strain expressing empty vector (ev); middle lane, pam16-1 partial loss-of-function strain expressing empty vector; right lane, pam16-1 knockout strain expressing AtPAM16. Yeast plates were incubated for 3 days at the indicated temperatures before the picture was taken. (b) Morphology of WT, mos4 snc1, muse5-1 mos4 snc1 and two representative transgenic T1 plants of muse5-1 mos4 snc1 transformed with 35S-PAM16. The plants were 4 weeks old when the picture was taken.
