Total ion current chromatograms of (a) L. heterotoma female extract and the iridoid fraction of (b) female and (c) male extract. Compound p5 is (−)-iridomyrmecin and p6 is (+)-isoiridomyrmecin. The inserts in (b) and (c) show their structure and absolute configuration. Compounds p1 and p2 were tentatively identified as iridodials; p7 was tentatively identified as a third iridomyrmecin. p3 and p4 were behaviourally inactive and thus not identified.
