(b) Spectra corresponding to the exposure of a partially graphene-covered SiC surface, surface to atomic H at different temperatures and doses: black curve (as graphitized), brown curve (first two steps of a figure, that is, 2 min at 700 C and 4 × 10−7 mbar and later 3 min at 900 C and 5 × 10−7 mbar) and red curve (second two steps of a, that is, 6 min at 30 C and 6 × 10−7 mbar followed by 9 min at 900 C and 6 × 10−7 mbar. The photon energy for both spectra is 400 eV.
