The nanocut is introduced on top of the metallic sphere. The incident light is directed onto the SBR from one side facing the nanocut at an angle of 58.5° to the surface normal. Two incident light polarizations are studied: s (perpendicular) and p (parallel) to the nanocut plane. The scattered light is collected from top by a microscope objective lens with 0.55 NA.
