Cut depth in (a) is larger than in (b), which is obtained by 25% longer helium ion beam milling time. Scale bars correspond to 100 nm. (c,d) Scattering spectra of the particles shown in (a,b) for incident light with s (perpendicular to the cut) and p (parallel to the cut) polarizations. LC labels show spectral position of the LC resonance. It is observed at 650 nm in (c) and 600 nm in (d).
