From: Harnessing Yarrowia lipolytica lipogenesis to create a platform for lipid and biofuel production
Fatty-acid profiles of lipid extract from pex10 mfe1 leucine+ uracil+ DGA1 and POlf leucine+ uracil+ strains after 6 day bioreactor batch fermentations are shown. We observed predominantly C16 and C18 fatty-acid content, as expected, with a noticeable amount of C17 accumulation. We observed C18:2 (linoleic acid) accumulation in the pex10 mfe1 leucine+ uracil+ DGA1 but not in the POlf leucine+ uracil+ control. Error bars represent s.d. of technical triplicates.
