(c) Venus-Sema3A (V3A) was locally applied at distal axon using the microfluidic culture system. Thirty minutes later, fluorescence signals of Venus-Sema3A (V3A), but not Venus alone, were observed along the axon. The mean number of Venus or Venus-Sema3A clusters observed in proximal axon (within 100 μm from the initiation) is shown in d (n=30 neurons from three independent cultures). Pretreatment with MDC at distal axon suppressed the axonal distribution of Venus-Sema3A.
