Reactions of [FeCp*(dppe)Cl] in the presence of NH4PF6 with 1,3,5-triethynylbenzene and with 1-bromo-3,5-bis(ethynyl)benzene, both followed by deprotonation with KOBut, produced respectively the dendrons 1 and 2. The hexanuclear compound 3 was obtained in two methods under Sonogashira reactions: (i) Sonogashira reaction between dendron 1 and 1,3,5-triiodobenzene catalysed by Pd(PPh3)2Cl2 and CuI and (ii) reaction of dendron 2 with 1,3,5-triethynylbenzene under the same conditions.
