(a,b) At 48 hours post fertilization (hpf) the Wnt report line, Tg(7xTCF-Xla.Siam:GFP), shows a clear and distinct output in Wnt signalling in the preorbital (po) domain of the zebrafish skull. (c) Tg zebrafish treated with LiCl exhibit a marked expansion of GFP expression in the po region of the skull, which suggests that LiCl treatment has a direct effect on Wnt signalling in this anatomical region. (d-e) Zebrafish treated with 10 mM of LiCl at 48hpf, show a marked reduction in preorbital outgrowth at 120 hpf. Asterisks in (e) indicates an apparent absence of the preorbital region of the skull.
