(a) Experimental pressure dependence of the lattice parameters of MoS2. The volume uncertainty bars are within 1% of the data. (b) The experimental SAED patterns of both pristine and decompressed MoS2. The patterns show that the single-crystal structure with the hexagonal symmetry was not significantly affected by high pressures and can be recovered back to its original crystal structure.
