The absorption spectra show three key processes on increasing the applied potential from 0.5 to 1.2 V: a decrease in LS-FeII MLCT band (501 nm) intensity, an increase in LS-FeIII LMCT band (864 nm) intensity, and the appearance and subsequent disappearance of an IVCT band (>2,000 nm).
