FRET histograms for the 5′-biotinylated 18GGG/T13-Cy5 (top), 18GGG/T7-Cy5 (middle), and 18GGG/T1-Cy5 (bottom) DNA primers. Histograms were fit with Gaussian functions (red lines) to determine the indicated centres of each FRET distribution. All histograms in the figure are constructed from at least 2000 individual molecules.
