The initial amounts of reactants were 50 μmol ASC, 40 μmol Fe (different species), 100 μmol H2O2 and 0.5 μmol MET in H2O (1 ml total volume), and headspace 360 ml, ambient temperature and ambient atmosphere. Values measured after 30 h. Data show mean value±s.d. (n=3). The pH in the medium was in the range of 2.9–3.1.
