Average Q10±s.e. of maximum heart rate during acute warming of Atlantic salmon (Alta population, N=5 and Dordogne population, N=8 for both acclimation temperatures) acclimated to either 12 or 20 °C. The grey bar (Q10=1.9) indicates the rate transition temperature where maximum heart rate starts an abrupt reduction in its exponential dependence with temperature, which is the Q10 break point temperature.
