Crystals of 1 take up close to 75% of their own weight in perfluorohexane. (a) The temperature program used. (b) Uptake of the guest as the function of time. In b the black lines indicate the parts of the program when 1 was exposed only to nitrogen stream, while the green line describes the section of the program when nitrogen carrying C6F14 vapours was passed over 1. Note that the guest remains in pores of 1 even after the flow of C6F14-enriched nitrogen is switched off.
