(a) DCF fluorescence intensity was measured after treating MDA-MB231 cells with SSP (4 μM) for 2 h in the presence or absence of NACA (1 mM). The fluorescence intensity of the untreated MDA-MB231 cells was set as 100%. Each experiment was performed at least three times and the results were expressed as the median change in fluorescence±s.d. (b) Fluorescence images of DL2-incubated MDA-MB231 cells after apoptosis induction with SSP (4 μM, 2 h) in the presence or absence of NACA (1 mM). The FITC signal was significantly reduced in the NACA-treated cells. Scale bar, 100 μm.
