Conservation of these sites was evaluated by the multiple sequence alignment of TP53 orthologues in man (Homo sapiens), gorilla (Gorilla gorilla gorilla), mouse (Mus musculus), rat (Rattus norvegicus), cat (Felis catus), chicken (Gallus gallus), rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) and frog (Xenopus leavis).
