(c) The differences are mapped onto the BG505 SOSIP.664 trimer crystal structure (PDB accession code: 4NCO), as described in Fig. 2. Contacts with CD4 (yellow) and Fabs (green) are shown as transparent surfaces (modelled relative to the gp120 core from PDB: 1GC1)24. The regions unresolved in the trimer structure are shown as dashed lines. (d) The effects of 17b binding to sCD4-bound SOSIP.664 trimers are similarly mapped onto the CD4-bound conformation of gp120, as modelled into the trimer structure (PDB: 3JWD)70.
