Emission intensity of lines IV–VIII as a function of FEL pump photon energy. The line intensities are normalized to the first Kα line, and are displaced for clarity. Superimposed on the experimental emission intensities are the simulations conducted with the SCFLY code, using a range of scaling factors for the collisional ionization rates of 0.2, 1, 3 and 5. Black arrows indicate the position of the experimental K-edge of the line-generating charge state, while green arrows indicate the position of the K-edges of all lower charge states.
