The time evolution of the change of the MSHG intensity at 77 K for EuO doped with 2.65% Gd is shown as a typical example. The excitation density of the pump pulse is ~380 μJ cm−2. The insets show schematics of time-resolved MSHG spectroscopy and a magnified view of the ultrafast increase of the MSHG signal. Solid lines are guides to the eye.
