RPE1 cells were cultured in media with 10% FBS until they reach confluence. An antibody detecting both YAP and TAZ was used. (b) Cytoplasmic sequestration of YAP/TAZ and concurrent induction of ciliogenesis in cells treated with CytoD for 12 h in the presence of 10% FBS. (c) Quantification of experiments illustrated in b. Cells were classified either as Nuclear (Nuc) if the nuclear/cytoplasmic fluorescence intensity ratio of YAP/TAZ is greater than 1.2 or non-Nuclear (non-Nuc) if not.
