Ion chromatograms of the DAP derivative (N-heptafluorobutyryl DAP isobutylester) from whole-cell hydrolysates of: C+: E. coli K12 as positive control; C−: Spirochaeta asiatica DSM 8901 (ornithine-based PG) as negative control; A: P. limnophilus DSM 3776T; B: G. obscuriglobus DSM 5831T; C: R. baltica DSM 10527T; D: L21-RPul-D3. All the planctomycetal hydrolysates show peaks for specific masses (380, 324, 306 and 278 m/z) and retention time (23.7 min) of DAP fragments.
