(a) Time-of-flight distributions were recorded for a number of different lateral positions of grating G3. For this image, a time resolution of 1 ms was used. (b) The time-of-flight probability density obtained by summing over the positions of G3. It is well described by a Gaussian with a mean of 9.7 ms and a standard deviation of 2.1 ms. (c) Interference pattern obtained by summing over all time-of-flights.
