The masing threshold is indicated in the figures by the white curves. The blue dashed curve in d shows the pump rate optimal for maximum coherence time. The parameters are such that ωc/2π=ωS/2π=3 GHz, g/2π=0.02 Hz, =0.4 μs, N=1.32 × 1014 and γeg=200 s−1 at T=300 K.
