Functionally selected resistance genes from (a) WWTP AAW (n=79), (b) human gut (n=94)12,32 and (c) soil (n=101)33,34,35,36 were blasted against the Genbank nt database and the top hit was aligned to the query. The panels show the nucleotide identity distributions of the pairwise alignment for each environment (Methods).
