(a) A change in principal element matters where different damage level is observed after irradiation of 1.5 MeV nickel to a fluence of 6 × 1013 cm−2 in 50% Ni alloyed with 50% of nickel, cobalt or iron, respectively. (b) Alloy complexity matters where in this particular case the more complex system, the more radiation tolerant. (c) Composition matters where the higher the iron concentration in the NiFe binary alloys the lower is the damage level observed after 1.5 MeV nickel irradiation to a fluence of 2 × 1014 cm−2.
