Correction of a Genetic Defect in a Mammalian Cell

Abstract

Foreign genetic material, in amounts too small to determine the synthesis of foreign surface antigens, can be incorporated into somatic cells by a special application of the technique of cell fusion. The interpolated genetic material is expressed and replicated in the foreign environment.
