Nature of DNA Precursors

Abstract

No topic in molecular biology has been more controversial than DNA replication. So far, no postulated mechanisms or replicating enzymes have adequately withstood close scrutiny, and now, Werner questions the basic assumption that 5′ nucleoside triphosphates are the precursors for in vivo DNA replication.
