New Look at the Very Early Steps of Oestrogen Action in Uterus

Abstract

Oestradiol is thought to stimulate uterine growth by amplifying the expression of a set of genes that are determined during embryonic development. It is not clear, however, whether this stimulation occurs at the gene transcription level or at some later stage.
