The leftmost figure shows the distribution of genotypes over the sample set, which is labelled as the prior distribution. The middle figure shows the joint distribution of genotypes and expression levels with a significant negative correlation between genotype values and the expression levels. The rightmost figure shows the posterior distribution of genotypes given that the gene expression level is 10. The posterior distribution has a maximum (MAP prediction) at genotype 2, which is indicated by a star. (b) The number of selected and average correctly predicted eQTL genotypes with changing absolute correlation threshold.
