Shown are full-length images of cropped blots presented in Fig. 3c (top), Fig. 4a (middle) and Fig. 4b (bottom). The mGluR1 antibody used in Fig. 3c was an mGluR1 pan antibody, and therefore both mGluR1a and mGluR1b variants are detected. As described in Materials and Methods, the dimer band (d) was analyzed for mGluR1a and mGluR5. The monomer (m) is sometimes visible, although often times the monomer band is extremely faint or absent at the exposure times selected to best quantify the intensity of the dimer band. Blots were minimally adjusted for contrast/brightness and resized appropriately for cropped versus full-length image presentation. Boxes indicate bands presented in the cropped versions shown in the main text. Molecular weights (in kD) are shown to right of the blots.
