Conditioned place preference for 2 mg/kg (a) and 5 mg/kg (b) D-amphetamine and 20 mg/kg cocaine (c); (stimulants were administered in the less-preferred chamber): data are expressed as the time spent in the drug-associated compartment before (pretest) and after (test) D-amphetamine or cocaine treatment. D-amphetamine (2 mg/kg and 5 mg/kg) and cocaine induced significant place preference in both, wild type (WT) and knockout (KO) mice (paired two-tailed Student’s t-test, p<0.01).
