Domain I, comprising residues 1–29 and 107–185, forms a three-helix bundle (red). Domain II, formed by residues 34–102, has a three-layered β/α/β structure (blue), and its orientation relative to domain I is shown as it appears in the present complex with the 70S ribosome.
