From: p53-dependent gene repression through p21 is mediated by recruitment of E2F4 repression complexes
Inhibition of p21 abrogates the ability of p53 to repress its target genes. p53 was induced in EJp53 cells stably expressing either shGFP or shp21 by reducing the tet concentration from 1.0 to 0.02 μg/ml for 24 h.
