Evolution of Quasar Radio and Optical Luminosity

Abstract

Arakelian's method4 of distinguishing between evolution of the optical and radio luminosities of quasars has been applied to samples freed from the selection effects that he did not allow for. It is found, contrary to his conclusion, that the optical and radio luminosities of quasars evolve similarly with time.
