Amplified Spontaneous Emission and OH Molecules in the Interstellar Medium

Abstract

Some aspects of the theory of amplified spontaneous emission yield information relevant to the problem of OH emission in the interstellar medium. In particular, problems of dimensions, intensity, saturation and linewidth are discussed in this article.
