Breast-feeding is a good traditional way of infant feeding in China. For a variety of reasons, the rate of breast-feeding has dropped sharply in recent years.There are 20 million babies born in China every year.Therefore it is a critical task for maternal and child health care workers to promote breast-feeding and improve children's health. In China, a 3-degree network of MCH has been put into initial action. Most villages, towns as well as counties have set up MCH institutions or specialists to serve the benefit of women and children. A few of them have recently established their Baby Friendly Hospital.

This paper focuses on how to take full advantage of the 3-degree network to raise the rate of breast-feeding.
