The implementation of CDC strategies to prevent (EOS) due to Group B Streptococci (GBS) by selective use of intrapartum antibiotic prophylaxis (IAP) has resulted in a decrease in the incidence of EOS due to GBS, the former leading cause of EOS in our NICU.
