The effect of CARN on heart tissue CPT I and CPT II activity in ADR-treated rat with and without CARN. Results (mean ± SD) are expressed as nanomoles per minute per milligram of protein. Numbers of rat included were two for control and CARN-treated rats and three for ADR- and ADR with CARN-treated rats. Heart tissue homogenates were incubated with CARN (200 mg) for 30°C for 15 min. Concentration of palmitoyl CoA were 200 μM. For detail refer to the enzyme assay in “Methods.”
