PAK4 is activated downstream of PKA in the α-MSH signaling pathway and activates the CREB–MITF pathway. PAK4 phosphorylates β-catenin and activates TCF/LEF-dependent transcription, but the Wnt ligands that activate PAK4 remain unclear.
