Exposure science lies at the center of human health and sustainable environment. Key determinants of human health include lifestage, social determinants, and behaviors; key determinants of sustainable environment include changing climate and the built environment. A systems approach recognizing the human-environment interaction, through a One Health framework, provides an approach for consideration of cumulative impacts and the interconnection between people, animals, plants, and their shared environment.
